Ever wished if you could get PlayStation experience on your Windows PC? Well the wait is over. Sony has unveiled its PlayStation Now service, which allows users to stream PS3 games from the cloud to your PS4 now it will soon work with Windows PCs as well.

This service will let you play and stream the popular PlayStation games from popular franchises like Uncharted, God of War and Ratchet & Clank on your desktop. At present, PlayStation Now offers more than 400 games which also includes PS3 blockbuster hits like The Last of Us and Journey.

But now from September, the company will also begin sell a new DualShock 4 USB wireless adaptor for around $25, which will allow users to connect a PS4 controller to their Windows PC. The device will work with PlayStation Now as well as the PS4 Remote Play feature that stream games from your PS4 console to your desktop so, one don’t have to play them all in the living room.

The recommended specifications for running PS Now on your Windows PC:

  • 3.5 GHz Intel Core i3 or 3.8 GHz AMD A10 or faster
  • RAM 2GB or More
  • Windows 7 (SP1), 8.1 or 10
  • Sound card; USB port

A minimum of 5Mbps connection is required to avail PlayStation Now Service on any device. Better consider a wired or broadband Internet connection for the optimal and uninterrupted experience.

According to Sony, they’re currently evaluating the possibility of bringing PlayStation Now to Mac.

The procedure to bring console games to PCs is a smart move, considering the fact that Microsoft has already announced a similar initiative in the form of Xbox Play Anywhere; the program will make selected Xbox games available to download and play on PC and sync achievements and progress on both platforms.

As of now by the officials, PlayStation Now is coming to Windows PCs in the UK “soon,” and will expand to the US and Canada shortly after. No availability was discussed for Australia or other parts of the world so far.
